Princeton made three early errors that helped Rutgers to a three-run lead, but the Tiger bats overcame it as the afternoon wore on as Princeton rallied to defeat the Scarlet Knights for the first time since 2009, 5-3. While Klausner threw the first four innings and kept Rutgers off the board after the second, Erica Nori came in for the fifth and got the win, while Shanna Christian came in for the seventh to get the save. |
| Emily Viggers hit her first home run of the season as part of a 2 for 2 day. The fourth-inning home run got the zero off the scoreboard for the Tigers and sparked the team's rally at the plate. |

| Libby Crowe's fifth-inning double put Princeton ahead 4-3 in the fifth inning and it came as the fourth hit in the space of five batters in the frame. The Tigers entered the inning down 3-1 but saw singles from Danielle Allen and Haley Hineman to set the table for an RBI-double from Cara Worden to cut the gap to 3-2. Crowe's double brought home Hineman and Worden to put the Tigers in front. |

• Rutgers had won the last four games in the series before today. The teams split a twinbill in 2009 and saw a Rutgers sweep in its last visit to '95 Field in 2010. When the series resumed last season, the Scarlet Knights won a single game in Piscataway. |
| Princeton will return to league play at Columbia Saturday and Sunday for a four-game series with a doubleheader each day starting at 12:30 p.m. |
