York Named Ivy League Pitcher Of The Week

Jonathan York started both ends of Tuesday's doubleheader against Dartmouth in right field. He was much closer to the action for the finish of each game.
York came in to pitch the last inning of each game and recorded a pair of saves, helping Princeton sweep Dartmouth and earning the senior from Atlanta Ivy League Pitcher of the Week honors. Princeton won Game 1 3-0 and Game 2 4-3.
Between the two games, York would pitch to hitless innings, one in each. Each was dramatic in its own regard, with no margin for error.
York inherited runners on first and second with nobody out in the seventh (and final) inning of Game 1 and promptly walked the first batter, making it bases load, nobody out, tying runs on, go-ahead run at the plate. Dartmouth, though, would get no closer, as York got a pop-up to short for the first out and then a double-play to end it.
There was only one runner on and nobody out when York came into the ninth inning of Game 2, though this time he had only a one-run lead, not a three-run lead. This time, he got a pop-up for the first out and then, after he moved the runner to second on a wild pitch, a strikeout and grounder to third to end it.
