| Sunday's first game saw the lead change three times and Princeton got two chances at getting the last three outs before finally closing out a 7-6 win in eight innings. When the see-saw stopped after Princeton scored three times in the top of the fourth, the Tigers had a 5-3 lead, but Brown had a couple more rallies in store. In the bottom of the seventh with two out, Brown had three straight doubles to tie the game at 5-5 before Princeton got the third out. Even in the bottom of the eighth, after rookie Haley Hineman delivered a two-run single to give the Tigers a 7-5 lead, Brown got a home run from Julia Schoenewald to make it 7-6 before sophomore Shanna Christian, who entered in the seventh inning in relief, closed the door on the Bears. Princeton needed no late heroics in the second game, as the Tigers got out to a four-run lead in the second inning and rode it out from there in an 8-3 win to complete the sweep. Freshman Erica Nori went the full seven, giving up seven hits without a walk and striking out two. Four Tigers drove in runs in the win, including three from Hineman as part of a 4 for 4 game and two from junior Alyssa Schmidt. |

| Haley Hineman had an outstanding day at the plate, going 6 for 8 with five RBIs and two runs scored. She also hit her first home run of the season, a shot that gave Princeton a 1-0 lead in the first inning of game two. |

| In the first game, Haley Hineman's two-run single came with two out and runners on second and third to give Princeton a 7-5 lead. Princeton reached Alyssa Schmidt on a single and Maddie Cousens on an error in centerfield that saw the two make it to scoring position. Hineman's hit brought them both home, with Skye Jerpbak running for Cousens on what turned out to be the game-winning run. In game two, a three-run second inning put Princeton in control and gave the Tigers all the runs they needed to complete the sweep. Alyssa Schmidt stepped to the plate with runners on second and third and Princeton up 2-0, and the junior doubled the lead with a two-run single up the middle to make it 4-0. |

• Columbia was swept at Harvard Sunday and Cornell and Penn were idle, so the Tigers now stand a game back of division leader Cornell (4-2), even with and two games in hand on Columbia (4-4) and a half-game in front of Penn (2-3) with a long way to go. The teams have played different numbers of games due mostly to last weekend's weather interruptions, but by month's end, all will have played 20. |
