Princeton tennis alumnus Jay Lapidus '81 has earned the chance to be inducted into the USTA Middle States Hall of Fame, with enshrinement set for an October ceremony in Newark, Delaware.
Lapidus was also inducted into the ITA Men's Collegiate Tennis Hall of Fame in 2010 alongside teammate Leif Shiras '81.

Following his Princeton career, Lapidus earned a place on the 1980 U.S. Davis Cup team and enjoyed a professional career throughout the 1980s. Upon his retirement from professional tennis, Lapidus was an 18-season men's head coach at Duke, capping that stage of his career in 2008.
The Hall of Fame induction event will take place Oct. 17 at Deerfield Country Club in Newark, Delaware, and more information on the 2014 class is available here.
