Box Score
| Princeton scored its first goal of the season, fell behind and rallied to force a tie Friday night at La Salle. Princeton now leads the all-time series with La Salle 6-1-2, including a 3-0-1 record on the Explorers' home field. The tie came despite Princeton being outshot 19-9 overall and 7-5 on goal. The Tigers went ahead in the final minute of the first half on a penalty-kick goal by senior Lauren Lazo, and the lead lasted until the 65th minute when La Salle's Kristin Haugstad tied it to end a shutout streak of 174:18 by the Tigers and keeper Darcy Hargadon that began in the final second of the season-opener against Rutgers. The Explorers then went ahead seven minutes later on a Kelsey Haycook goal, but the lead was short-lived. Freshman Beth Stella scored her first collegiate goal in the 79th minute, and a 31-plus minutes went by without a goal to give Princeton two ties in as many games. |

| • The teams played four times between 1987 and 1990 and again in 2005 before resuming the series in 2011 and playing every year since. All four of the recent meetings have either been ties or decided by one goal. • Beth Stella's goal was her first as a Tiger and the first goal of the season to come in the run of play. Princeton's first goal on the season overall was Lauren Lazo's penalty kick earlier in Friday night's game. • Princeton's last penalty kick was in the third-to-last game of the 2013 season against Colgate by Gabriella Guzman '14. The last four penalty kick goals for Princeton have been scored by seniors, with Diana Matheson '08 as the last non-senior to score a PK. That came on Oct. 14, 2006. • Princeton started five freshmen for the second straight game. Rookie Mikayla Symanovich made her first collegiate start Friday night and led Princeton with three shots and a team-best two on goal. • With a goal and an assist, Friday's game marked the 10th time in her career that Lauren Lazo had at least three points in a game. |
