PRINCETON, N.J. (1/4/15) - Four different goal scorers led the Princeton men's hockey to a 4-3 win over the Russian Red Stars in an exhibition game at Hobey Baker Rink on Saturday, Jan. 3.
After going down by a goal early, the Tigers went on a three-goal run to take the lead. The Red Stars evened it up with two goals within 1:17 late in the second. Russia got on the board at 3:10 with a goal from Ivan Larichev, assisted by captain Ildar Shiksatdarov. Shiksatdarov collected puck at his own blue line and fed Larichev up the ice. Fighting off his defender, Larichev skated across the slot and backhanded in the goal.Princeton went on a 3-0 run, sparked by two power-play goals.

After a five-minute major for boarding was assessed to Andrei Churkin, Princeton converted for its second power-play goal. Freshman defender Joe Grabowski was credited with the goal with sophomores Tommy Davis and Ben Foster assisting. Foster skated into the zone, quick stopped and found Davis up along the left boards. Davis sent a point-to-point pass to Grabowski for a blistering shot past netminder Sergei Korobov.Senior Tucker Brockett kept the goals coming in the second period. Foster and Ambrosia again earned assists as Brockett went blocker side on Korobov, for the 3-1 lead at 5:06.

Korobov finished with 27 saves, as Princeton outshot Russia 31-23.
Princeton was 2 for 5 on the power play and 5 for 5 on the penalty kill.
