Oct. 1 TigerCast: Maddie Copeland and Khamal Brown
October 01, 2015 | Field Hockey, Football, General
Two teams facing Ivy League showdowns Friday night will be guests of the Oct. 1 edition of TigerCast. Seniors Maddie Copeland (field hockey) and Khamal Brown (football) talk about their Princeton careers and important Friday night games.
Copeland went to the nearby Peddie School and hoped to one day join the Princeton field hockey program. She did so during the magical 2012 season, when the Tigers won the program's first NCAA Championship. The journey back to the postseason continues Friday night for the Tigers, as they look to remain unbeaten in the Ivy League against Yale (6 pm).
Brown was also a contributor freshman year, but his journey took a scary twist midway through his sophomore season. A rupture of an arteriovenous malformation required immediate, life-saving brain surgery that kept him off the field until 2014. Recovered and healthy, Brown has provided stability at the safety position and will try to get the football team off to a perfect Ivy start when the Tigers host Columbia at 7 pm on the NBC Sports Network.
If you are new to TigerCast, the weekly Thursday podcast will provide an in-depth look at Princeton teams through interviews with coaches and student-athletes. The podcast will feature all 38 Tiger teams throughout the year, and there will also be information on key upcoming events during each show.
You can access the TigerCast page here or by clicking the microphone tab on the right side of the page. All previous TigerCasts will be stored on this page as well.
