Mitrovic Named CWPA Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Vojislav Mitrovic of the 11th-ranked Princeton University men's water polo team was named the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Tigers to a pair of wins over Johns Hopkins and George Washington.
Turning away 13 shots in 38 minutes against Johns Hopkins, Mitrovic helped Princeton secure a hard-fought 17-15 overtime victory. In a 14-9 win over George Washington, Mitrovic turned away 13 of the 19 shots he faced in 27:59 minutes of action.
Posting an 8-3 record this season, Mitrovic has posted a 0.571 save percentage with 15 assists and 12 steals in 310:46 minutes. Bursting onto the scene last season, Mitrovic went 18-3 with a 0.604 save percentage. Mitrovic's 253 saves in 2014 rank second all-time on the program's single-season charts.
Princeton returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 10 against Bucknell.
