Vives, Doubles Pair Advance to Monday at USTA/ITA Regional
October 25, 2015 | Men's Tennis
Diego Vives had a walkover win and Alex Day and Luke Gamble won twice in doubles play at the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional at Yale Sunday.
Monday's play will get started at 9 a.m. with a semifinal match for Day and Gamble against Dartmouth's Roko Glasnovic and Diego Pedraza. Unlike through the first four rounds, which were single-set matches, the winner will have to take two sets or split and claim a tiebreaker to advance. The final doubles match is scheduled for Tuesday.
Vives will face Kyle Mautner of Penn in a 10:30 a.m. quarterfinal with the winner taking on either ITA 23rd-ranked Dovydas Sakinis of Dartmouth or Eric Rubin of Columbia at 2 p.m. in the semifinals. The singles final is scheduled for Tuesday as well.
