Swim/Dive Teams Split Between Penn State Open, Minnesota Pro Series
November 13, 2015 | Men's Swimming and Diving, Women's Swimming and Diving
Both the Princeton men's and women's swimming and diving teams will be in action this weekend, though neither will be a full unit for the weekend. While the majority of both teams will be competing at the Penn State Open, selected swimmers from both squads will be in Minneapolis for the Minnesota Pro Series meet.
On the women's side, Claire McIlmail, Alisabeth Marsteller, Lindsay Temple, Isabel Reis, Elsa Welshofer, and Janet Zhao are all in competition in Minnesota, while the men's side has taken Teo D'Alessandro, Julian Mackrel, Alex Lewis, and Corey Okubo. The Minnesota event began Thursday, and Okubo started it in style with a third-place finish in the 400 IM (LCM, 4:23.89).

The remainder of the teams will compete in the two-day Penn State Open, a three-event session that will feature Princeton, Penn State and UConn. The Friday night session begins at 5 pm, while Saturday sessions will begin at 9 am and 3 pm.

The women's team opened its season last weekend with a narrow 156-144 loss at Miami to complete its Florida training trip. The men scrimmaged in Florida, but their first official competitions will be this weekend.
