Box Score & Play-by-Play: vs. Albany | vs. Florida Atlantic
| Albany jumped on Princeton in Friday's season opener, scoring six runs in the first inning against rookie Ashley LaGuardia in her collegiate debut to take a lead that the Great Danes never relinquished. Albany led 8-1 heading into the bottom of the third before Princeton scored three runs on five hits including RBI singles from Cara Worden, Emily Viggers and Danielle Dockx. Albany let Princeton get no closer than four runs after its big first inning, picking up two more runs in the sixth to push the game into run-rule territory and clinch the win after setting Princeton down in the bottom of the sixth. In Friday's second game, Shanna Christian started and threw two scoreless innings against an FAU team that came in with 10 wins in its first 11 games, but the Owls got to relievers Claire Klausner and LaGuardia starting in the fourth inning on the way to a 5-0 win. FAU pitcher Tatum Buckley held Princeton to a single hit, a Kylee Pierce two-out single in the third. |
| Emily Viggers was 2 for 3 with two RBIs in the Albany game for her first multi-RBI game since March 2, 2014 against SIU-Edwardsville. |

| Albany's Elizabeth Snow took advantage of a bases-loaded, nobody-out situation in the top of the first after a single, a walk and a hit batter, singling two home to give Albany a 2-0 lead. Though the Tigers ended up scoring four runs, the hit put Princeton behind and the Tigers never closed the gap. FAU's Melissa Martinez tripled home a one-out walk in the fourth inning to give her team a 1-0 lead, and behind the strong pitching of Tatum Buckley, that was all the Owls needed to improve to 11-1 on the season. |

• This was the first meeting between Albany and Princeton. Princeton and FAU last met in 1999, and the Owls now lead the series 3-1. |
