Box Score & Play-by-Play: vs. Florida A&M | vs. North Florida
| Saturday's opener against Florida A&M was a back-and-forth contest with the Rattlers striking last to take the game 9-5. Princeton answered two FAMU runs in the top of the first with three in the bottom half, all coming thanks to a Cara Worden home run. The lead lasted until the fifth, when FAMU got to Princeton starter Ashley LaGuardia and reliever Claire Klausner for three runs to take a 5-3 lead. Princeton squared the opener in the bottom of the sixth with a pair of runs on four hits including a Kayla Bose RBI single, but the Rattlers scored four times in the seventh to win it. Game two, however, was all Princeton and LaGuardia, with the freshman pitcher giving up five hits and three walks but shutting out North Florida 6-0 while striking out five. Princeton scored two runs apiece in the first, fourth and seventh innings to take the lead and break it open, with freshman Danielle Dockx homering in the fourth to drive home both runs in that frame. |
| Alyssa Schmidt was 3 for 5 on the doubleheader with a double, a triple and a run driven in. She had the highest average (.600) on the day of any Tiger with more than one at-bat. |

| FAMU's Alex Sandage provided what turned out to be the game-winning RBI in the top of the seventh, driving a one-out double to bring home a run and put the Rattlers up 6-5. Against UNF, Rachel Rendina got all four bases on her own in the first inning but not with a home run. Rendina led off with a triple and then stole home to put Princeton up 1-0. |
|
• FAMU now leads the series with Princeton 4-0 after getting a win in the teams' first meeting since 2000. Princeton picked up its first win against UNF after the Ospreys won the teams' last meeting in 2013. |
| Princeton will close out the Florida Atlantic tournament with a rematch against North Florida at 9 a.m. Sunday. |
