Hoffenberg, Nelson, Mitrovic Earn Honorable Mention All-America Recognition

PRINCETON, N.J. – Helping the Princeton University men's water polo team to a 23-4 overall record and second-straight CWPA championship game berth, Drew Hoffenberg, Thomas Nelson and Vojislav Mitrovic each earned honorable mention ACWPC All-America accolades.
Picking up his fourth ACWPC All-America honor, Hoffenberg once again led the team in scoring with 62 goals. Second on the squad in assists (28) and steals (39), he drew a team-high 59 ejections and paced the Tigers with 10 blocks. A first-team all-league selection, he is the seventh Princeton player to garner Southern Player of the Year laurels.
Starting 26 of Princeton's 27 games, Hoffenberg found the back of the opposing net in all but two of his outings with 19 multi-goal games to his credit. Closing out his distinguished career ranked second on the program charts in assists (129), he amassed the fourth-most goals in school history (238). Hoffenberg is the only Tiger to ever finish with at least 200 goals and 100 helpers.
Securing his second-straight honorable mention accolade, Nelson was third on the team in goals (30) while going 11-3 on sprints. Starting 22 of his 24 appearances, he had 11 multi-goal games, scoring a season high four goals on four occasions.
A first-team All-Southern selection, he was twice named the Southern Division Player of the Week. Collecting 13 assists, he factored into the scoring in all but four of his appearances. Nabbing 29 steals, he also drew 15 ejections and recorded nine blocks.
Picking up three Southern Division Player of the Week honors, Mitrovic pieced together a stellar rookie campaign. Posting a 60.4 save percentage, he stopped 253 of the 419 shots he faced en route to first-team All-Southern accolades.
Posting an 18-3 overall record, he also finished with 10 assists and 23 steals. Recording double-digit saves in 16 games, making a season-best 16 stops three times.
