Hoy Named Ivy League Baseball Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Danny Hoy of the Princeton University baseball team has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week after a stellar showing during a four-game set against UNC-Greensboro.
Hitting .467 in 15 at-bats over the weekend, Hoy posted a .579 on-base percentage and a 1.133 slugging percentage. Driving in nine runs, Hoy had a double and three homers in the series. Hoy takes home his first career Ivy League weekly award and becomes the first Tiger to be named Player of the Week since Mike Ford on Apr. 9, 2013.
Going hitless in the first game of a Saturday doubleheader, Hoy was 3-for-4 in the nightcap with a double, two walks, two RBI and two runs scored. In the first game of Sunday's twinbill, Hoy belted his first home run of the season to plate a pair of Princeton runs. In the final game of the weekend set, he went 3-for-5 with two homers, three runs scored and five RBI.
Through seven games, Hoy is hitting .357 with a .438 OBP. Slugging a team-high .786, Hoy leads the team in doubles (3), home runs (3), RBI (11) and runs scored (8).
