All-Ivy defensive back Matt Arends took some time before his 14-hour flight to Japan to share some perspectives on the previous football season, the winter workouts and early spring practices, and what he hopes the team accomplishes during its week in Japan.
Included in the video above are Arends' thoughts on improving the overall energy level of the defense moving forward, and what made his teammates' eyes light up about Saturday's Legacy Bowl.
