Men's Golf Wraps First Round at Stanford

Princeton's first multi-day event of the spring season got underway Thursday with the Tigers playing 18 holes on Stanford's course at The Goodwin.
Freshman Michael Davis shot a first-round 68 on the par-70 course to stand four shots off the pace set by UNLV's John Oda at -6, with Oda one shot in front of six players at -5.
TCU, ranked 33rd in the nation, leads the 24-team field at -16, eight shots in front of 38th-ranked UAB. Eight teams in the field are ranked, and Princeton finished its first round in 24th place at +16.
Princeton will begin teeing off at 8:25 a.m. PT/11:25 a.m. ET Friday for the second of three rounds with the tournament wrapping Saturday.
