PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University baseball team will open Gehrig Divisional play this weekend with a four-game set against Columbia University.
First pitch for Saturday's twinbill is set for 1 p.m. Sunday's doubleheader against the Lions will begin at 12 p.m. Despite dropping the last seven meetings and 11 of the last 13, the Tigers hold a 124-94-2 edge in the all-time series against Columbia.
LAST TIME OUT
• Princeton dropped a mid-week non-conference matchup to instate rival Monmouth on Wednesday afternoon, 14-1.
• Billy Arendt accounted for the Tigers' lone score with a solo homer in the top of the eighth.
• Peter Owens finished 1-for-3, while Zack Belski and Tyler Servais were each 1-for-4.
• Managing just four hits, Princeton was just 1-for-10 with runners on base and 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position.
