PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University baseball team returns to action on Wednesday, Apr. 22 with a non-conference tilt against rival Rider University.
Dropping last year's showdown in Lawrenceville, N.J., 5-3, the Tigers are 22-28 all-time against the Broncs. First pitch at Clarke Field is set for 3:30 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
• Princeton dropped four games to Penn over the weekend.
• Dropping the first game of the series, 9-3, the Tigers suffered a 5-1 setback in game two.
• Princeton fell in the first game of Sunday's twinbill, 5-1, before dropping a hard-fought 2-0 decision to the Quakers in the series finale.
• Danny Baer batted .364 over the weekend with two doubles and an RBI.
• Asher Lee-Tyson hit .333 in 12 at-bats with a .429 on-base percentage.
• Tyler Servais hit .308 with a double against Penn.
• Luke Strieber turned in the Tigers' best start, tossing 8.0 strong innings in a 2-0 loss, surrendering two runs on six hits.
• Nick Donatiello and Chris Giglio combined to pitch 5.1 shutout innings in relief, allowing just three hits.
