Shanna Christian came within one out of Princeton's first seven-inning no-hitter in 10 years, but that achievement will have to wait. Christian's no-no bid was ended when Yale's Rachel Paris hit a skipping liner to shortstop that Danielle Dockx speared and made a throw to Cara Worden at first, but even with Worden matching Dockx's great play with a stretch of her own, Paris got the safe call at first. Christian got the next out on a soft ground ball along the first-base line. Though she didn't get the no-hitter, Christian did get the win as a pair of first-inning runs were enough to beat Yale 2-0 in Wednesday's opener. Game two made it to the fifth inning with Yale ahead 5-0, but rain and wind quickly swept over the Class of 1895 Field, forcing a suspension in the top half of the frame with the game yet to become official. In the bottom of the first, Princeton used a Rachel Rendina single and an Alyssa Schmidt double to put runners on for Worden, who singled home one. Emily Viggers then lifted a fly ball to left field, and Schmidt scored when the throw home wasn't handled, giving Princeton a 2-0 lead. Yale had five base-runners on the day, two reaching when hit by pitches in the first inning, another on a third-inning walk, and another on a sixth-inning error on a ground ball to third base before Paris broke up the no-hit bid. After the first inning, Yale's Francesca Casalino gave up just two hits and a walk, but Christian's performance made the two early runs more than enough. |

| Cara Worden's first-inning one-out hit delivered Princeton its first run of the game, and the way Shanna Christian was dealing, that was enough for the Tigers to take it. |
