PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University baseball team returns to action on Friday, Apr. 24 with a doubleheader against Cornell University.
Going 1-3 against the Big Red last season, the Tigers are 140-92-2 all-time against Cornell. First pitch for Friday's twinbill at Clarke Field is set for 12 p.m.
AGAINST THE IVY
• Danny Hoy is batting a team-high .360 in Ivy League play, with a .418 on-base percentage.
• With five doubles, a triple, two home runs and 10 RBI, Hoy is slugging .620 against conference opponents.
• Asher Lee-Tyson has hit .286 against the Ivy League with a .412 OBP and nine runs scored.
• On the hill, Luke Strieber as been especially effective against the conference, posting a 2.54
earned-run average in 28.1 innings with a .243 opponent batting average.
• Keelan Smithers has struck out 16 batters in 23.2 innings while registering a 4.94 ERA.
• Nick Donatiello as allowed just two earned runs in 10.1 innings against the Ivy League, posting a 1.74 ERA with 11 strikeouts.
LAST TIME OUT
• Due to inclement weather, Princeton's mid-week tilt against Rider scheduled for Wednesday afternoon was cancelled.
• Over the weekend, the Orange and Black dropped four games to Penn.
• Dropping the first game of the series, 9-3, the Tigers suffered a 5-1 setback in game two.
