No. 10 Princeton Women's Water Polo Set to Host CWPA Weekend

PRINCETON, N.J. – After a week-long layoff, the 10th-ranked Princeton University women's water polo team returns to action by hosting a CWPA weekend at DeNunzio Pool.
The Tigers will open play on Friday, Apr. 10 against Indiana at 7:30 p.m. Princeton dropped a hard-fought overtime decision to the Hoosiers earlier this season at the Princeton Invitational, 9-8.
The Orange and Black will then face Michigan on Saturday, Apr. 11 at 7 p.m. before drawing Notre Dame College on Sunday, Apr. 12 at 10:20 a.m. Also competing at DeNunzio this weekend are George Washington, Harvard and Brown.
Games featuring Ivy League teams (Princeton, Brown, Harvard) will be broadcast on the Ivy League Digital Network.

LAST TIME OUT
• Princeton improved to 5-0 in CWPA play and 22-2 on the season with a lopsided 14-5 win over George Washington.
• Chelsea Johnson and Ashley Hatcher paced the Tiger attack with four goals apiece.

• Fresh off a record-breaking 22-save effort against George Washington, Ashleigh Johnson was named the CWPA Defensive Player of the Week on Mar. 30.
• A Princeton player has claimed the league's Defensive Player of the Week award on three occasions this season, with Helena van Brande garnering praise on Feb. 9 and both Johnson and van Brande sharing recognition on Feb. 16.
• In 16 appearances this season, Johnson has posted a 14-2 record.
• Stopping 194 of the 271 shots she has faced, Johnson has recorded a 0.716 save percentage.
• van Brande is 8-0 in her rookie campaign with a 0.661 save percentage.
• The Tigers' duo has also combined for 44 steals and 16 assists.
LEADING THE WAY
• Ashley Hatcher currently leads the team with 59 goals and a 0.615 shot percentage.
• Also tallying 12 assists and 13 steals, Hatcher has netted at least three goals in a game on 10 occasions, with a career-high six-score effort against Loyola Marymount on Mar. 20.
• Jessie Holechek is currently second on the team in goals (42), assists (26) and blocks (10).
• Holechek has factored into the scoring in all but one of her 24 appearances, tallying 13 multi-goal outings and dishing out at least two assists on seven occasions.
• Pippa Temple and Morgan Hallock are tied for third on the team in goals with 25 apiece.
• Temple has also collected 18 assists and 11 steals, while Hallock has drawn a team-high 65 ejections.
FRESHMEN PHENOMS
• Haley Wan and Chelsea Johnson have made an immediate impact during their rookie seasons.
• Leading the team in assists (38) and blocks (12), Wan is second on the Tigers in steals (22), while also going 39-24 (0.619) on sprints.
• Also one of six Princeton players with at least 20 goals (22), Wan has found the back of the opposing net in 13 of her 24 appearances.
• Sitting third on the squad in ejections drawn (20), Johnson has also racked up 20 goals on 37 shots (0.541).
• Scoring eight goals in the team's last three games, Johnson has recorded a tally in nine of her 19 outings.
