Princeton Football To Play Six Ivy Games On National Television
July 27, 2015 | Football
Six of Princeton's seven Ivy League football games this season will be nationally televised as part of the upcoming 17-game broadcast package across three networks, it was announced today by the league office.
All four of Princeton's road games, as well as its home opener against Columbia and a Halloween showdown with Cornell, will be shown on either the NBC Sports Network or the American Sports Network. Six nationally televised games is tied for the most for any program in the Ivy League during the 2015 season.
Princeton's first nationally televised game will be on the NBC Sports Network on Friday night, Oct. 2, against Columbia. It is the first of six Ivy League games being played on NBCSN during Friday nights this fall. Besides being the Ivy League opener for Princeton, it will also be the first Ivy game in light blue for new Columbia head coach Al Bagnoli.
From there, Princeton will be on the American Sports Network for five of its final six Ivy League games. That stretch begins Saturday, Oct. 17, with a noon showdown against Brown. Road games against Harvard (Oct. 24), Penn (Nov. 7) and the season finale at Dartmouth (Nov. 21) will all be played at noon on the American Sports Network.
Princeton's lone home game on the American Sports Network will be Oct. 31 against Cornell, and that game will begin at 3:30 pm. All games on the American Sports Network will also be streamed live on the Ivy League Digital Network; the Oct. 2 game against Columbia will not be available on the ILDN, but it will be streamed on NBC Live Extra.
