Men's Golf to Open Fall Campaign Sunday at Navy
September 10, 2015 | Men's Golf
In the team's first tournament since finishing runner-up at the Ivy League Championship last April, the Princeton men's golfers will start their fall schedule Sunday at the Navy Fall Classic in Annapolis, Maryland.
It'll be the first time Princeton has played in the event since 2004. This time, the Tigers will join host Navy, Delaware, Georgetown, George Mason, LeMoyne, Saint Joseph's and Seton Hall. The Midshipmen will field three teams in the event. The par-71 Naval Academy Golf Course will see the earliest tee times at 8:30 a.m. both days.
Princeton returns all five players from the Ivy League Championship tournament, led by junior Quinn Prchal, who was the Ivy medalist, and fellow-first teamers Marc Hedrick and Michael Davis, both sophomores. Fellow soph Eric Mitchell and junior Alex Dombrowski from the Ivy tournament five are back, and the team adds freshman Vinay Ramesh as the sole member of the Class of 2019 joining the program.
The Navy tournament will be the first of four this fall for the Tigers, all of which will be competed over the next five weeks.
