Fresh Off Tournament Win, Men's Golf to Play at Cornell This Weekend
September 16, 2015 | Men's Golf
It was only Sunday that the Princeton men's golf team won its first tournament of the fall season, taking the Navy Fall Classic by seven shots over Georgetown.
The tournament will have 54 holes between Saturday and Sunday, with two rounds Saturday. Play will begin with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. Saturday with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. Sunday at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course, which will measure 6,904 yards with a par of 71. Princeton last competed in the event in 2008.
Joining Princeton and two teams from the host Big Red are Binghamton, Brown, Bucknell, Canisius, Colgate, Delaware, Penn, Rider, Saint Joseph's, Siena and Towson. It'll be the first time on the young fall season that Princeton has shared a course with a fellow Ivy League program.
Princeton used a lineup of all sophomores and juniors for its first fall tournament last weekend, with sophomore Marc Hedrick leading the Tigers with a 4-under score for the weekend, placing fourth overall.
