Wilson Named Collegiate Water Polo Association Southern Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Ryan Wilson has been named the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Southern Division Rookie of the Week after helping the 12th-ranked Princeton University men's water polo team to a 3-2 showing during its annual West Coast swing.
Opening the week against Santa Clara, Wilson netted a hat-trick, while also nabbing three steals. After tallying a goal and an assist in the Tigers' Kap 7 NorCal Invitational opener against No. 8 UC-Irvine, Wilson had two goals, an assist, and a steal against Redlands.
Helping Princeton punch its ticket to the ninth-place game, Wilson scored three goals on five shots against UC-San Diego, while also adding two assists and a career high five steals. Wilson closed out the weekend by drawing three ejections and nabbing three steals against UC-Davis.
In five games, Wilson finished with nine goals, 12 steals, five assists, and six drawn ejections. Netting a goal in seven of his nine appearances, Wilson has amassed 15 goals, 11 assists, 15 steals, and 10 drawn ejections in 2015.
