Men's Golf Takes Fourth at Northwestern's Windon Memorial
September 28, 2015 | Men's Golf
In the middle of the pack of schools from the Big Ten, the Princeton men's golf team finished fourth at the Northwestern-hosted Windon Memorial Monday at Lake Shore Country Club in Glencoe, Illinois.
Princeton's round of 280 matched Indiana for the second-best team total in Monday's final round, three strokes behind winner Purdue. The Boilermakers won the tournament handily, outpacing runner-up Michigan by 15 shots. Third-place Northwestern was 18 shots back and the Tigers were 23 back of Purdue.
Purdue won by placing all four of its scorers in the top eight. The Boilers' Brian Carlson won the tournament at -6, two shots better than Thomas Rosenmuller of North Texas. Eric Mitchell and Quinn Prchal co-led Princeton at +2, tying for 24th overall.
The Tigers will play again Saturday and Sunday at The MacDonald, hosted by Yale.
