Top-Ranked Trinity Defeats Men's Squash; Tigers Host Ivy Pair Next Weekend
January 31, 2016 | Men's Squash
Senior Sam Ezratty came closest to victory against the 15-0 Bantams; he grabbed a 14-12 win to open his match at No. 8, and then won 11-6 in the fourth. Tor Christoffersen took control early in the fifth for an 11-2 win.
Freshman Clark Doyle missed the match due to injury, so classmate Spencer Anton moved up to the No. 1 position. He put forth a strong effort, topping Rick Penders 11-8 in the opener and then losing a pair of close 11-9 losses during the 3-1 Trinity win.
Both sophomore Komron Shayegan and freshman Adham El Sherbiny also went four games, but neither could get to a fifth.
Princeton, which fell 8-1 Saturday at No. 2 Penn, will return to Ivy League play next weekend when it hosts both Yale and Brown. All courts in both matches will be streamed live on the Ivy League Digital Network.
