Princeton Women's Indoor Track & Field Places First at Tri-Meet

PRINCETON, N.J. – Picking up wins in eight events, the Princeton University women's indoor track and field team finished first in its annual tri-meet against St. John's and Saint Joseph's.
Rising to the top of the podium, the Tigers racked up 141 points. St. John's placed second with 125.50 points followed by Saint Joseph's with 67.50 points. Princeton returns to action Saturday, Jan. 23 at the Tiger Open.
Led by Cecilia Barowski, the Orange and Black claimed three of the top four spots in the 500m dash. Securing seven points, Barowski turned in an ECAC qualifying time of 1:12.05. Meghan McMullin finished third at 1:16.66, followed closely by Carly Bonnet (1:18.91).
Jackie Berardo paved the way for a strong Princeton showing in the 800m run, clocking in at 2:18.51. Michelle Tracy took third with a time of 2:20.07. Zoe Sims and Alie Fordyce were second and third, respectively, in the 1000m, while Delaney Miller, Melinda Renuart, Birdie Hutton, and Jessica Ackerman were second through fifth in the mile run.
Brighie Leach came in first in the 3000m run with a time of 9:46.55. Ally Markovich was second (9:47.43), followed by Rachael Chacko (10:09.39), Melissa Reed (10:15.25), and Allie Klimkiewicz (10:21.18). Taylor Morgan (8.90), Ellie Randolph (9.01), and Allison Harris (9.11) were 1-2-3 in the 60m hurdles.
Morgan also excelled in the field events, winning the high jump by clearing 1.66m. Kerry Krause was third at 1.61m. Harris, Katlyn Rymarzow, and Lauren Santi took the top three spots in the pole vault, with Harris posting an ECAC mark of 3.60m.
Kerri Davidson claimed the triple jump with an ECAC mark of 12.24m, while Sara Ronde (5.57m) and Ariel Becker (5.48m) were second and third in the long jump. Kennedy O'Dell won the shot put with a toss of 12.52m before coming in third in the weight throw (15.94m).
