Tarakchian '16 Posts Two Double-Doubles For BCF Elfic Fribourg Basket

FRIBOURG, Switzerland – Annie Tarakchian '16 continues to contribute for BCF Elfic Fribourg Basket as the team plays on in the EuroCup Regular Season.

Fribourg dropped a 64-61 decision last night to Venezia in each team's first regular season game of the EuroCup. In the contest, Tarakchian registered a team-high 19 points and 12 rebounds. The former Tiger hit three three-pointers and sank all four of her free throws in the loss. In her three EuroCup games, the guard/forward is averaging 15 points and 11 rebounds per game. The squad's next EuroCup game is Nov. 2nd vs. Nice.

The two-time All-Ivy League player also appeared in a Swiss League matchup for Fribourg. In the team's 93-53 victory over Geneve Basket on Oct. 22, Tarakchian went 4-of-8 from the field, scoring 11 points. She also grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds in 23 minutes. Fribourg's next Swiss League contest is on Saturday vs. Riva.

Tarakchian is the fifth player under head coach head coach Courtney Banghart to sign a professional contract. The others include Devon Allgood '12, Addie Micir '11, Niveen Rasheed '13 and Blake Dietrick '15. Dietrick became the second Ivy League player ever to make a WNBA roster as she made the Seattle Storm's opening night roster in 2016.

Princeton battles Rider to open the 2016-17 season at Jadwin Gymnasium on November 11th. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
