Dietrick '15 And Tarakchian's '16 Professional Seasons In Full Swing

PRINCETON, N.J. – Blake Dietrick '15 and Annie Tarakchian's '16 professional careers are in full swing as their teams' seasons have pressed on.

Dietrick currently plays for the Bendigo Spirit of the Australian National Basketball League. The Spirit have won three straight and sit 5-2 overall, tied for the top of their division with the Perth Lynx. Dietrick is averaging 3.6 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists in 19.4 minutes of game action. Bendigo's next outing is against Perth on Nov. 18.

Tarakchian has appeared in three games since our last update for BCF Elfic Fribourg Basket, a team based in Switzerland. In the squad's Swiss League 63-33 victory over Riva (Oct. 29), she recorded a double-double (17 points, 11 rebounds) in 20 minutes off the bench.

The West Hills, Calif., native also scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds in Fribourg's 80-55 loss to Nice (Nov. 2) in the EuroCup Regular Season. Tarakchkian and the team recovered with a 62-54 win over Landes yesterday, a contest where the former Tiger made 5-of-7 three-pointers en-route to 23 points while snagging 12 rebounds. Fribourg's next game is a Swiss League battle vs. Helios.

Princeton head coach Courtney Banghart has had five players sign a professional contract in Dietrick, Tarakchian, Devon Allgood '12, Addie Micir '11, Niveen Rasheed '13. Dietrick became the second Ivy League player ever to make a WNBA roster as she made the Seattle Storm's opening night roster in 2016.

Princeton battles Rider to open the 2016-17 season at Jadwin Gymnasium tomorrow (Nov. 11). Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
