Alarie Selected As Ivy League Rookie Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - After recording her first career double-double, Bella Alarie was selected as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, the conference announced today.
The freshman dropped in 11 points and registered a season-high 11 rebounds in the Tigers' 62-56 overtime loss to Dayton on Saturday at Jadwin Gymnasium. Alarie also added in three assists and a steal.

A wing player for Princeton, Alarie was a key cog in helping the Princeton defense hold Dayton to just (22-75) 29.3 percent shooting. Dayton's Jenna Burdette, a preseason Atlantic-10 (A-10) first team all-conference player, went 0-11 from the floor, the worst shooting performance of her career. The Flyers' Kelley Austria, preseason A-10 second team all-conference, was just 2-of-9 (22.2 percent) for five points.
Princeton begins a three-game week with an excursion to Delaware tomorrow at the Bob Carpenter Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
