Day Defeats Ranked Foe as Tigers Open Play in Georgia, Florida

Members of the Princeton men's tennis team were in Georgia and Florida Friday to begin their final weekends of the fall at Georgia's Bulldog Scramble and the Lakewood Ranch Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic.
In Georgia, Princeton took four of its 10 singles matches on the day against players from Georgia, Georgia Tech and Miami (Fla.), highlighted by Alex Day's 6-4, 6-1 win over ITA 88th-ranked Maksim Kan of Wake Forest. Princeton split its two doubles matches, with Day teaming with Kial Kaiser to pick up a 9-8(3) win over Daniel Yun and Elijah Melendez of Georgia Tech.
In Florida, Eduardo Paz won his first-round match over Central Florida's Nicolo De Fraia, 6-3, 5-7, 7-5, to move on in the main draw, while the Tigers' opponents won both doubles matches Friday.
