Tigers, Penn Tie on Senior Night at Roberts

Princeton took the lead twice and Penn tied it up twice Saturday afternoon at Roberts Stadium, and that's the way it ended on the Princeton men's soccer team's senior day as the Quakers and Tigers drew 2-2.
Henry Martin headed in a free kick to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead in the fifth minute before Matt Poplawski tied it for the Quakers in the 14th minute when he headed in a corner kick. Princeton took the lead again in the 62nd minute when Martin sent a pass into the box for Greg Siefert, who one-touched it back to Sean McSherry to be powered into the net. That 2-1 lead lasted just five minutes as Penn's leading scorer on the season Alec Neumann had his ninth of the season when he put in a rebound off a save to tie it, and that's where it stayed as the final 43-plus minutes of action yielded no goals.
Princeton outshot Penn 18-10 overall and 8-6 on goal.
The Tigers will head to Yale for their finale next Saturday at 4 p.m.
