Here are five things to watch out for this weekend
The Week That Was
• All 15 players scored as the Tigers took down Dartmouth, 85-48 on Friday evening at Leede Arena.
• Michelle Miller and Alex Wheatley led the Tigers with 11 points each. Annie Tarakchian added eight points, 12 rebounds and four assists.
• Princeton trailed 7-5 before finishing the first quarter on a 15-4 run to make it 20-11 after 10 minutes. The Tigers then built the lead to 17 at the break at 42-25.
• Princeton shot just below 50% from both the field (30 for 61) and three-point range (11 for 23). Princeton held Dartmouth to 31% from the field for the night and outrebounded the Big Green 46-25.
• The Tigers scored the first eight points of overtime to score 92-83 overtime victory over Harvard at Lavietes Pavilion.
• Michelle Miller dropped 28 points on 9-of-15 shooting including four three-pointers. Four other players scored in double figures including Alex Wheatley who secured her seventh career double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
• Wheatley's 16 points gave her 1,000 for her career. She is the 24th member of the 1,000-point club.
• Because of her stellar weekend, Michelle Milller was selected as Ivy League Co-Player of the Week. It's her seventh career weekly accolade.
Ivy Notes
• Last season, the Tigers captured their 12th conference title en route to a fifth NCAA Tournament appearance.
• Under Banghart, the Tigers have posted a 96-18 (.842) record against Ivy League opponents.
• Princeton is averaging 74.5 points per game, highest among Ivy League foes, Columbia is second (71.4) while Cornell (64.7) is fourth.
• The Tigers place second in the Ivy in scoring defense at 57.7 per contest. Banghart's squad maintains the top scoring margin at +16.8.
• In its five Ivy matchups, Princeton has held opponents to a .349 field goal percentage and .272 three-point field goal percentage.
• The Orange and Black hold a +15.1 rebounding edge in Ivy League play this season.
• Michelle Miller is averaging 15.8 points in the Tigers' five conference games, good for 5th among Ivy players.
• Annie Tarakchian has the second best rebounding average in conference games (12.0).
Climbing the Charts
• Michelle Miller currently stands at 1,189 career points; she is 86 points shy of 10th place on the all-time list.
• One of the program's most prolific shooters, Miller's 41.4 career three-point percentage is currently the third highest mark in school history.
• Miller's 195 made threes are the fourth most all-time while her 570 attempts from beyond the arc is third.
• Annie Tarakchian is tenth in program history with 656 rebounds.
• Tarakchian's 6.5 career rebounds per game is just shy of the top ten.
• Taylor Williams is currently on pace to finish with a program-record 56.1 career shooting percentage.
Closing In
• Alex Wheatley became the 24th member of the Tigers' 1,000-point club.
• With 16 points at Harvard, Wheatley has exactly 1,000 points.
• Wheatley is currently averaging a career-high 12.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.
• The senior also has a career high 63 offensive rebounds this season.
• Wheatley is also shooting a career-high 67.7 (42-62) percent from the free throw line.
• Wheatley's 53.6 career shooting percentage is currently the third-highest in program history.
News and Notes
• Annie Tarakchian was invited to the USA Basketball Junior National Team Trials last May and won gold at the 2015 Pan Armenian Summer Games.
• A Princeton Shapiro Prize for Academic Excellence award winner and third-team CoSIDA Academic All-America honoree last season, Michelle Miller is a finalist for the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship.
• One of five just five Princeton juniors to be accepted into the University's Scholar's in the Nation's Service Initiative, Alex Wheatley spent the summer interning at the National Institute of Health in Washington, D.C.
• Sophomore Leslie Robinson is the daughter of Princeton alumnus Craig Robinson, who is one of only two men's players in program history to twice be named Ivy League Player of the Year. Her aunt Michelle Robinson (Michelle Obama) graduated from Princeton in 1985 and is currently the First Lady of the United States and the wife of President Barack Obama.
• Freshman Qalea Ismail is the daughter of Qadry “The Missle” Ismail, who played 10 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with her uncle Raghib “Rocket” Ismail, who played for nine seasons.
• Jordan Muhammad's father, Muhsin, played 14 seasons in the NFL, for the Carolina Panthers and Chicago Bears.
