Two Tigers PR as Outdoor Track & Field Season Begins

TAMPA, Fla. (3/17/16) - Two Tigers recorded personal bests as the Princeton women's track & field team got the outdoor season underway today at University of South Florida in the Bulls Invitational.
Sophomore Kennedy O'Dell was third in the hammer throw with a PR of 53.02 (173-11). She threw over 50 meters on all three of her countable throws, besting her previous best mark of 49.64 (162-10). Senior Brielle Rowe was fifth with a toss of 49.23 (161-6) on her fourth attempt.
Fresman Ellie Randolph PR'ed in the long jump. She jumped to 5.32 (17-5.50) on her first attempt in the event. In the long jump invitational, senior Sara Ronde was fifth with a mark of 5.47 (17-11.50) on her fifth jump. It came after she twice jumped 5.46 to start the event.
Senior Taylor Morgan and junior Ariel Becker went 1-2 in Flight 1 of the javelin and finished 8-9 overall. Morgan threw 37.93 on her final attempt while Becker's 37.91 came on her fourth throw.
In the pole vault, junior Allison Harris had the best collegiate mark and was second overall at 4.00 (13-1.50). She holds the Ivy League indoor record in the event reaching 4.20 earlier this academic year.
Sophomore Melinda Renuart was third in the only track event of te day, the 5k. She clocked a 17:25.87 in the event.
The meet continues tomorrow at 10 a.m., with the triple jump and 4x100 relay.
