Men's Golf Wraps Play at SDSU's Barona Collegiate Cup

One Western tournament is in the books for the Princeton men's golf team, but the Tigers will be three hours behind the East Coast again soon.
Princeton tied for seventh in the 11-team Barona Collegiate Cup, which wrapped Tuesday at the Barona Creek Golf Club in Lakeside, Calif., outside San Diego. Following a weekend away from competition, the Tigers will head west again for an ASU Thunderbird Invitational at Arizona State's home course April 2-3.
No. 24 San Diego State, the host and the top-ranked team in the field, won the tournament at 26-under as a team, 42 shots in front of runner-up Minnesota. The Aztecs were able to put such a gap between themselves and the rest of the field thanks to putting all four of their scoring players in the tournament's top six spots.
Minnesota's Runar Arnorsson finished at 9-under, leading SDSU's Brian Song by three shots after 11 players turned in a score below par. Princeton's Quinn Prchal just missed being part of that group, finishing at +2 to tie for 14th overall.
