LIVE RESULTS
One day after Princeton claimed its first All-America men's relay since 2012, the Princeton trio of Teo D'Alessandro, Corey Okubo and En-Wei Hu-Van Wright each competed in individual events during Friday's preliminary session at the NCAA Championships. Though each placed inside the Top 35, none was able to advance to the Friday night session.
Okubo was up first in the 400 IM. The 2015 Ivy champion and 2016 runner-up in the event finished 30th in the nation in a time of 3:49.05. D'Alessandro followed in the 200 free, and he produced a season-best time of 1:36.03 to take 35th.
The closest Princeton came to an individual All-America honor Friday came from Hu-Van Wright, who finished 23rd in the 100 back. The 2016 Ivy League champion in the event, Hu-Van Wright finished in 46.65.
Princeton will round out NCAAs Saturday with three individual swims and the 400 free relay. D'Alessandro and Hu-Van Wright will both swim the 100 free — Hu-Van Wright is the Ivy League champion in the event — while Okubo will swim the 200 fly, where he finished second at Ivies.
