Men's Tennis Set to Open Ivy Play This Weekend as Brown, Yale Visit
March 30, 2016 | Men's Tennis
The Ivy League campaign will open Saturday for the Princeton men's tennis team when Brown visits and continue Sunday with a visit from Yale.
The matches are set for 1 p.m. each day in Jadwin Gym due to the weather. Per ITA rules, matches will likely be played indoors due to rain, or, if the forecasted high temperature at match time is less than 50 degrees or there is sustained wind of 20 mph.
Five Ivy League teams are in the ITA's latest top 75, released Tuesday, and the Tigers will face all four of their fellow ranked Ivies over the following two weekends. At No. 34, Princeton is the second-highest ranked Ivy team, behind only No. 28 Columbia and ahead of No. 40 Dartmouth, No. 47 Harvard and No. 56 Cornell.
Princeton will be coming off a two-week hiatus from matches following the team's trip to San Diego, where the Tigers faced three then-top-35 teams with a win over No. 26 Memphis and losses to No. 8 Texas Tech and No. 34 San Diego.
