Women's Tennis Tops Dartmouth, Climbs Into Tie Atop Ivy
April 09, 2016 | Women's Tennis
Positive results for the Princeton women's tennis team came both in Jadwin Gym and elsewhere around the league, as the 61st-ranked Tigers find themselves tied atop the Ivy after a 5-2 win over No. 52 Dartmouth Saturday.
Princeton now stands at 3-1, one of three teams with one Ivy loss. Columbia fell for the first time on the league season to Yale, and now that trio is tied atop the league each with one in the loss column.
Princeton will continue its weekend with a 1 p.m. match Sunday against No. 63 Harvard, held at the Lenz Tennis Center or in Jadwin Gym if there's inclement weather.
Princeton had to bounce back from a doubles-point loss to win Saturday's match, getting singles wins from Caroline Joyce, Sivan Krems and Alanna Wolff to put Princeton ahead 3-1 before Dartmouth got a win on court two. Nicole Kalhorn then provided the clincher on court five and Amanda Muliawan finished off a three-set win for the fifth point. Wolff's match was her first since Jan. 29.
