PRINCETON, N.J. – Former Princeton baseball player Jack Murphy hit his first home run of the season for the Oklahoma City Dodgers (AAA) on Wednesday.
Murphy also scored twice as the Dodgers won 5-0 over the New Orleans Zephyrs. The catcher also called an outstanding game as three Dodgers pitchers combined to throw a one-hitter.

Princeton has had four players, Chris Young '02 (Kansas City Royals), Matt Bowman (St. Louis Cardinals), David Hale '11 (Colorado Rockies) and Ross Ohlendorf '05 (Cincinnati Reds) reach the majors this year.

Matt Bowman – St. Louis Cardinals (MLB) – The reliever continues to lower his ERA, which now stands at 2.25. Bowman is in a stretch of three consecutive outings without allowing a run (four innings). The Cardinal has struck out 10 hitters in 12 innings of work this season.

Ross Ohlendorf – Cincinnati Reds (MLB) – Ohlendorf '05 has three wins for the Reds and has struck out 9.7 hitters per nine innings in 13 games. His 9.7 K/9 would be the second best mark of his career.

David Hale – Norfolk Tides (AAA) – With the Tide, Hale stands out with a 2.25 ERA in 12 innings. The starter has 10 strikeouts and hasn't given up a run in two of his four starts.

Will Venable – Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs (AAA) – Venable has six walks, four RBI and four runs over the past 10 games. The Iron Pigs are three games back of the International League North Division leader Syracuse Chiefs.

Tyler Servais - Servais is the most recent Princeton Tiger to be drafted as he was selected in the 27th round of the 2015 MLB Draft by the Detroit Tigers. He played in 15 games at the professional level last season for the Gulf Coast and Connecticut Tigers.

Mike Ford – Tampa Bay Yankees (A+) - Ford is currently on the seven-day disabled list. That's about the only thing that has gone wrong for the outfielder as he has a .371/.439/.571 slash line with 14 RBI.

Alec Keller – Potomac Nationals (A+) – Keller has scored 10 runs, 10 RBI and three extra base hits in 20 games for the Nationals. The outfielder has not been caught stealing in five attempts.

Danny Barnes – New Hampshire Fisher Cats (AA) – The reliever has continued his stellar 2016 season, maintaining an 1.26 ERA in nine games. In 14 1/3 innings, Barnes has whiffed 16 batters. He is currently in a mix of four consecutive outings without allowing an earned run.
