Mike Ford '14 Finishes 2016 With Triple-A National Championship

PRINCETON, N.J. – Former Tiger Mike Ford '14 made his Triple-A debut last night for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders in the Triple A National Championship game. The RailRiders won the contest, 3-1, over the El Paso Chihuahuas at Autozone Park.
Ford went 0-3 in the game with a walk, hitting sixth as the designated hitter. The former Ivy League Player and Pitcher of the Year finished the 2016 campaign with a .289/.411/.479 slash line in 56 games. In 190 at-bats, Ford hit eight home runs, drove in 43 runs and scored 26 times. He finished the season with 41 walks and only 29 strikeouts. The former Tiger played for four teams in 2016, beginning the year with the Tampa Yankees (A), before spending time with the Staten Island Yankees, Trenton Thunder and RailRiders.
