Schrage Advances to Quarterfinals at ITA Regional

Princeton freshman Stephanie Schrage won her match Saturday to advance to the quarterfinals of the ITA Northeast Regional at Penn.

In Sunday's 10 a.m. match, Schrage will take on Long Island's Anna Grigoryan, who has already knocked out two top-16 seeded players on her way to the quarters. Schrage, seeded in the second eight, will try to end that run. If she does, she'll play the winner between Syracuse's Miranda Ramirez, the tournament's second seed, and Dartmouth's Kristina Mathis, seeded in the second four, at 12:30 Sunday.

Schrage beat Columbia's Jennifer Kerr, seeded in the second 16, 6-2, 6-2 Saturday to advance. Senior Katrine Steffensen was also still batting going into Saturday's play, but fell to Penn's Lina Qostal, 6-4, 6-7(2), 6-4.
