EYE ON THE TIGERS
Princeton is 4-4-1 after splitting its most recent series with Bemidji State. The Tigers are 2-3-1 in the ECAC to sit in seventh place in the early going of the league season. Juniors Max Véronneau and Ryan Kuffner are both in double digits in scoring with Véronneau scoring five goals and six assists, while Kuffer has five goals and five assists. Senior Eric Robinson, sophomore Jackson Cressey and junior defenseman Josh Teves follow with eight point apiece. Teves is the leader in assists with seven in nine games. Freshman Ryan Ferland has started in every game in goal and has a .918 save percentage and a 2.84 goals against average.
SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
Quinnipiac is 5-7-1 on the season and most recently dropped a pair of games with UMass this past weekend. The Bobcats started the ECAC season 0-4 before posting back-to-back shutouts of Brown and Yale and are 2-4 in the league. The squad is led in scoring by rookie Odeen Tufto and his 13 points, putting him tied for third in the nation in freshman scoring. He has three goals and a team-high 10 assists. Senior Tanner McMaster has three goals and seven assists for 10 points. Junior defender Chase Priskie (WSH), senior Landon Smith and sophomore Alex Whelan have each scored five goals apiece. Sophomore Andrew Shortridge has started in nine games and has a 1.87 GAA and a .925 save percentage.
THE PRINCETON/QUINNIPIAC SERIES
Quinnipiac holds a three-game edge in the all-time series, 14-11-1. Last year Princeton snapped a four-game losing streak that included three shutouts with back-to-back wins in a home-and-home series. The Tigers won 5-3 at Hobey Baker Rink on Dec. 9 before a 4-1 win in Hamden the next night. Véronneau has seven points (3-4-7) in four games against the Bobcats while Kuffner has four (2-2-4) in four games.
