Shorthanded Tigers Fall At Rider, Will Take On F&M Friday
February 16, 2017 | Wrestling
Wrestling without its two highest-ranked wrestlers, Princeton fell 25-11 to Rider Thursday night in the second-to-last dual of its regular season. Princeton (8-8) can complete its fourth consecutive regular season with at least a .500 record Friday night when it takes on Franklin & Marshall at 7:30 pm in Lancaster, Pa.
Princeton was without #4 Matthew Kolodzik and #11 Brett Harner, both of whom were sidelined due to injury, and it was never able to rally from a 9-0 deficit in the loss. Rider (12-1) never dropped two matches in a row in its home win over the Tigers.
Princeton got wins from Jordan Laster (12-2 major), Jonathan Schleifer (7-4 decision), and Ray O'Donnell (11-0 major), but Rider won five of the six matches decided by five points or fewer to claim its fourth straight win of the year.
