Rice Defeats Women's Tennis Team as Tigers Complete Texas Trip

The busy week for the Princeton women's tennis team will shift to New Jersey after the Tigers completed their three-match swing through Texas with a 4-0 defeat at Rice Friday afternoon.
Princeton (3-2) began with a win at UT Arlington Wednesday before a loss at No. 15 Texas A&M Thursday.
Against Rice (3-1), Princeton picked up a doubles win from Caroline Joyce and Nicole Kalhorn at first, but Rice got the last two to take the afternoon's first point. The first three singles matches to be decided went to Rice, clinching the match for the Owls. Joyce, at third singles, and Tiffany Chen, at fourth, picked up first-set wins before their matches were halted once Rice had the clinch.
Princeton will face Wake Forest Sunday at noon in Jadwin Gym to close the stretch of four matches in five days. Admission is free.
