Five Things For Princeton's WNIT Appearance

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers found out earlier this week that they would participating in the Women's National Invitational Tournament.

Princeton will take on the Villanova Wildcats tomorrow night at Jadwin Gym. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. The winner of this game will take on the winner of the Duquesne/Drexel matchup.

Here are five things to watch out for tomorrow and should the Tigers move on to Round Two of the WNIT.
Common Opponents – Villanova has faced three of Princeton's opponents from the 2016-17 season. The Wildcats defeated Seton Hall twice in Big East play, lost to George Washington and took down Penn. Drexel has picked up victories this season vs. Lafayette, Cornell and Delaware (twice). Duquesne has the most games against common opponents with Princeton, falling to Fordham (once) and Dayton (three times) while defeating Lafayette and going 2-1 against George Washington.

Villanova's Three-Point Shooting – The Wildcats are one of the best three-point shooting teams in the country. Villanova averages 8.2 treys per game and sits in the top 30 nationally in three-point attempts, three-pointers made and three-pointers per game. Princeton is 43rd in Division I in three-point defense (28.7 percent).
