Your Final Roundup For All Things EIWA: Seeds, Brackets, Preview Podcast & More
March 02, 2017 | Wrestling
The 2017 EIWA Championships are merely hours away, and the final details have been worked out. Seven Princeton wrestlers have earned seeds, a group led by freshman Matthew Kolodzik, who will be the top seed at 141. Seniors Brett Harner (197) and Jordan Laster (149) are both seeded second at their respective weights, while classmate Ray O'Donnell is the fourth seed at 285. Sophomore Pat D'Arcy is the fifth seed at 133, while junior Jonathan Schleifer (174) and sophomore Mike D'Angelo (157) are both the sixth seeds at their weights.
All brackets can be found here.
There was one late change to Princeton's projected lineup; freshman Ty Agaisse, likely a second-team All-Ivy League honoree at 125 during his freshman season, suffered an injury this week at practice and will miss the EIWA Championships. Classmate Matteo DeVincenzo will start in his place.
There have been two podcasts posted this week about the EIWA Championships. The most recent, listed below, is the second annual EIWA Championships preview, hosted by Craig Sachson and Chas Dorman; it looks at individual weights, NCAA bids, the team race and more.
The latest edition of TigerCast, which you can find here, includes an interview with Harner, the reigning EIWA champion at 197 pounds.
The full tournament preview, which includes links to FloArena and a weekend schedule, can be found here.
