Women's Golf Stands Close Second at Spring Opener in California

Just one stroke separates leader and host Sacramento State and the second-place Princeton women's golf team heading into Tuesday's final round at Sierra View Country Club in Roseville, Calif.
The Tigers dropped seven shots from their first-round score earlier Monday to shoot an 8-over 296 on the second 18 to stand at +23. Sacramento State turned in a 13-over 301 in the first round before taking four shots off that score in round two.
Northern Arizona's Sofia Anokhina leads the field at -3, three shots better than Cal State Northridge's Ysabel Tran. Sacramento State's Sofie Babic is third at +1, four shots off the pace, and Princeton's Hana Ku and Utah Valley's Carly Dehlin are tied for fourth at +2.
The first tee times for Tuesday's final round are set for 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET with Maya Walton leading Princeton's scoring-eligible five at 9:12 a.m. PT. Tiana Lau, Alison Chang, Tenley Shield and Amanda Brown are playing as individuals.
