Junior Olivia Fiechter Returns To All-Ivy Team For Third Straight Year

Despite an injury-plagued season, junior Olivia Fiechter earned a spot on the 2017 All-Ivy League First Team, which was announced Wednesday by the league office. This is the third straight first-team honor for Fiechter, who is also one of five Princeton women to also earn Ivy League Rookie of the Year honors (2015).

Fiechter missed most of the 2016 portion of the season with a preseason injury, but she came back in January with a victory over Dartmouth to help the Tigers enter Ivy League play on a winning note. She played all but one match the rest of the season, including back-to-back wins over Cornell and Columbia in the final weekend, and she posted her biggest win of the year to help Princeton defeat Yale in the first round of the Howe Cup Championships.

Fiechter reached the second round of the CSA individual championships, marking the third straight season she has reached at least that round.
