The spring season will resume Monday for the Princeton men's golf team at the site of the 2015 U.S. Open, Chambers Bay in Washington, for Seattle University's Redhawk Invitational.
The Tigers opened the spring in late February at the NIT hosted by Arizona and spent spring break playing courses in Georgia and South Carolina outside of tournament play. Now, Princeton and host Seattle will play alongside Alabama State, Arkansas-Little Rock, BYU, Campbell, DePaul, Grand Canyon, Iowa State, Louisiana-Monroe, Loyola Marymount, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio, Sacred Heart, Santa Clara, Stetson and TCU.
Two rounds are set for Monday with play beginning at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET with one round Tuesday, also at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET. The course is set Monday for a par of 71 and measuring 7,223 yards, and Tuesday for a par of 70 and 7,057 yards. Live scoring will be available via BirdieFire. The field includes eight Golfweek top-100 teams as of March 27, led by No. 36 Northwestern.
Alex Dombrowski, Michael Davis, Marc Hedrick, Eric Mitchell and Evan Quinn will represent the Tigers. Quinn, a freshman, led the same five Tigers at the Arizona event.
Once the tournament wraps Tuesday, the Tigers will have just three days away from competition before hosting the Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club April 8-9. That will be the team's final event before the Ivy League Championships begin April 21 at The Stanwich Club in Greenwich, Conn.
